Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of movement, emotion, texture, and nature.
Rather than painting what I see, I paint what I feel.
Each piece evolves intuitively through layers of color, mark-making, and spontaneous expression, allowing the artwork to develop its own story.
Nature remains my greatest teacher.
The changing seasons, flowing water, weathered textures, gardens, forests, and the energy found outdoors continually influence my work.
My hope is that every painting invites the viewer to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with something both timeless and deeply personal.
Because at its heart, art isn’t simply decoration.
It’s an experience.
Art has never been something I simply create.
It is how I choose to live.
Every painting, every brushstroke, every class I teach, every mural, every garden, every hair transformation, every conversation—I believe creativity is woven into every part of life.
For me, beauty isn’t something we purchase.
Beauty is something we create.
As an abstract expressionist artist based in Central New York and the owner of Elevated Productions, my work is inspired by nature, travel, human connection, and the quiet moments that remind us what it means to be alive.
Whether I’m creating large-scale paintings, teaching children, leading community art experiences, or helping someone reconnect with themselves through The Crown Lounge, my purpose remains the same:
To help people rediscover their own creativity.
Creativity Is a Way of Life
We often think of art as something hanging on a wall.
I see it differently.
Art is how you plant your garden.
It’s how you decorate your home.
It’s the meals you prepare.
The music you listen to.
The way you style your hair.
The photographs you take.
The conversations you have.
The way you move through the world.
Creativity isn’t confined to a canvas.
It lives inside every choice we make.
My mission is to help people reconnect with that part of themselves—the curious, playful, fearless child who wasn’t afraid to make something simply because it brought them joy.
I believe the world needs more creators.
More imagination.
More beauty.
More people willing to see life as a work of art.
Building Creative Communities
Art has the power to bring people together.
Throughout my career I’ve been honored to work alongside schools, libraries, enrichment programs, local organizations, businesses, and families to create meaningful artistic experiences.
From children’s birthday parties and bridal celebrations to community murals, grant-funded enrichment projects, and public workshops, each event is designed to inspire creativity, connection, and confidence.
Some of my favorite moments aren’t found in the finished artwork.
They’re found in the laughter around the table, the conversations between strangers, and the moment someone discovers they’re far more creative than they believed.
Why I Teach Art
Some of my greatest joy comes from watching someone realize they are capable of creating something beautiful.
Almost every class ends with someone saying,
“I didn’t know I could do that.”
Those words mean everything.
As children, we’re encouraged to color, paint, imagine, and dream.
Somewhere along the way, many people begin believing they aren’t creative anymore.
I don’t believe creativity disappears.
I believe it simply waits for permission to come back.
My classes aren’t about creating perfect artwork.
They’re about creating confidence.
Connection.
Curiosity.
Joy.
Whether you’re five years old or seventy-five, creativity has the power to reconnect you with yourself.
